Hi! My name is Katie and I'm the founder of Amberhoney.​

I set up this business in covid lockdown, as I found making candles was a fun way to pass time whilst on furlough. After receiving lovely feedback from friends & family, thought I would share my products for you all to enjoy. 

​I chose the name Amberhoney, as my grandparents had two golden retrievers while I was growing up called Amber & Honey, so for me, the name is comforting and homely, which is what I want my products to be too!

​I live in Devon, so often my scents are inspired by the British coastline and countryside that I'm lucky enough to see everyday. I like to choose fragrances that are a bit unusual and have even come up with 5 scents that are unique to amberhoney called the signature collection. 

Living in a lovely setting means I am conscious about the effect my products have on the environment. Although home fragrance is a luxury I like to make my products as sustainable as possible. I use plant based soy wax which is a renewable source, and all of the fragrance oils I use are vegan & cruelty free. I am also mindful of the packaging I use, so amberhoney is plastic free. The candle jars are made from glass with aluminium lids so they are recyclable, and the wax melt bags are made from glassine - a biodegradable material that can be composted. All amberhoney candles & melts are hand poured in small batches, so each product is made with care and to a high standard.

In July 2022, I achieved my dream of opening a little homeware & gift store in the lovely coastal town of Dartmouth, Devon, called Leocadia. This is where you can find amberhoney's studio and can also purchase in person, alongside a collection of high quality products all from U.K. based small businesses.
